Dues for the 2017-18 school year are $3 and will be used to cover snacks and project materials. Please bring them to the first or second meeting.

Fashion Club Leadership Application 2017-18

For the 2017-18 school year, one of Fashion Club's goals is to open up more leadership positions. While they will be a great asset to a college application, they aren't meant for resume building. They're meant for girlbosses who are passionate about fashion! The positions will be explained at the first meeting and chosen one week after.

The available positions are as follows:


JUNIOR REP: Someone who would be willing to take over the club next year, has a lot of availability, is driven, and sees the importance of fashion and women as leaders. They must be comfortable leading meetings and speaking in front of the club, and they must be a go-getter who can complete tasks quickly!


SOPHOMORE REP: Someone who would be willing to take over fashion club next year, is not too shy to talk to new members, loves fashion and creating. This person will be given a lot of responsibility, so they should be mature and able to work with deadlines.


FRESHMAN REP: As a freshman rep, your main goal is to be the middleman between Meg and the other freshmen. Trying to join clubs is something that may be hard for freshmen while they are dealing with adjustment to a new school, so your job is to make it super easy for them by providing necessary information. This person must be outgoing enough to try to recruit new members and talk to upperclassmen often at meetings and events.


PHOTOGRAPHERS (two available positions): Responsible for taking pictures at meetings and events, but there are two of you so you don’t have to make it to every single thing! Must be comfortable using their own camera or one of Alter’s. Will be held accountable to upload photos to Google Drive in a timely manner for use in blog posts etc.


WRITERS (four available positions): The Alter Fashion Club Blog is what people see when they want to know what we are all about. It’s a recounting of all meetings and events, so we need some creative girlbosses to keep up with the site! If you are interested in pursuing business, media, marketing, advertising, writing, or fashion as a career (or just like to write), this is for you. There will be four bloggers so you will probably only end up writing two or three posts for the entire school year.
